Nomos Tetra Origins Series Captures Nature in Square Design and Earthy Color Palette
Nomos introduces the Tetra Origins series, a square mechanical watch inspired by natural earth tones — elegant, minimalist, and made in-house.

In a world obsessed with smartwatches, Nomos Glashütte continues to celebrate the poetry of pure mechanics. The German watchmaker has unveiled the Tetra Origins series, a fresh collection of square timepieces that draws inspiration from nature’s color palette — elegant, understated, and distinctly Nomos.
Nomos has always been a master of quiet expression. The Tetra, one of the brand’s earliest designs, returns with a modern organic twist. Each model in the new Tetra Origins lineup — named Ochra, Terra, Salvia, and Basalt — channels a different earthy mood through tone and texture. From sun-dried yellow to muted red, forest green, and smoky charcoal, the watches carry a warmth rarely found in minimalist designs.

The case remains true to Nomos form: a 29.5mm x 29.5mm polished square that’s just 6.5mm thick, complete with Art Deco-inspired stepped lugs and a flat sapphire crystal. It feels precise yet human, like Bauhaus minimalism softened by nature’s touch. The dial textures are grained and tactile, with slender Arabic numerals and polished needle hands. A small seconds subdial adds contrast and depth, while a pop of color on the seconds hand keeps the design playful — a Nomos signature.
Under the hood, the new Tetra Origins runs on the brand’s DUW 4001 calibre, a refined hand-wound movement based on the classic Peseux 7001 architecture. The key upgrade? Nomos’ very own Swing System escapement, which officially makes this movement 100% in-house. It beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers 43 hours of power reserve — pure mechanical charm, no battery required. Through the sapphire caseback, you can admire traditional German watch finishing: blued screws, Glashütte ribbing, gold engravings, and perlage detailing.

Minimalism Meets Earth Tones: Nomos Tetra Origins Turns Nature into Timeless Style
Completing the organic aesthetic is a beige vegan velour strap paired with a stainless steel buckle. It’s a small but thoughtful touch that aligns with the collection’s nature-inspired ethos. The Tetra Origins joins Nomos’ permanent lineup, priced at EUR 2,180 (including VAT).
More than just another minimalist watch, the Tetra Origins series is about connection — to craft, to color, to the idea that a watch can reflect personality without shouting. In a world of notifications and digital noise, Nomos reminds us that timekeeping can still be slow, analog, and deeply human.
For those who find beauty in simplicity and story in design, this might just be the watch that speaks your language — quietly, elegantly, and with purpose.
